


Here, I am fabricating car parts and painting the reflection of a scenic view, in this case Lake Michigan, as it appears on the car’s surface. Like much of my work, this piece explores a disconnect between the value of natural areas and how they are experienced. Depicting the lake as it looks in a car reflection illustrates both the beauty of a scenic view and a detachment from it.
